The program will comprise of a moving van equipped with books, journals, magazines
and resources for science experimentation and project making. There will be two
sessions of 2 hours each per week in each selected school. The activity planned
under library sessions in schools includes storytelling, book talks, read aloud
and read for pleasure. In the science sessions we will also have practical experimentations
that connect with the science theories taught at schools. The students will also
be provided with resources to develop things based on their curiosity with the
maker space sessions.
One fully equipped vehicle can support the library and STEM education of 10 schools, effectively 500 children.
The activities increase children’s literacy skills and science knowledge, directly effecting academic levels positively.
